Our story

The making of Lost & Foundry

I’m a graphic designer, and while researching vintage agricultural design for a project, I stumbled across a collection of old tractor company patches on eBay. They were beautifully designed, full of character, and impossible to ignore.

I’ve always loved vintage things. I own gas pumps from the ‘50s, John Deere tractors from the ‘60s, and more tins and oil cans than I can count. So I bought a few patches and put them on caps I’d actually want to wear.

I’ve worn ballcaps my whole life, but I could never fully connect that love with my appreciation for vintage. Most vintage caps are worn out, poorly fitting, or better suited for a collector’s shelf than everyday wear. Meanwhile, thousands of incredible vintage patches are sitting forgotten in desk drawers, flea markets, and antique stores.

That’s where Lost & Foundry comes in.

We take authentic vintage patches and give them a new life on fresh, wearable caps — preserving the character and history without the compromises. Every piece carries a small part of the past forward.

Heritage belongs out in the world. Preferably on your head.
