Mepps, a renowned fishing tackle company, traces its history back to 1938 when French angler Andre Meulnart invented the first Mepps spinner in a small tackle shop. The name "Mepps" is derived from "Meulnart's Spinner." The innovative design and effectiveness of Mepps spinners quickly gained popularity among anglers for their ability to attract a wide variety of fish species.
