Founded in Finland in 1936 by Lauri Rapala, Rapala is a globally recognized fishing tackle company. Lauri Rapala created the iconic Rapala fishing lure by hand-carving balsa wood to mimic the swimming action of injured prey. The success of the original Rapala lure led to the establishment of the company, which has since expanded its product line to include a wide range of lures, fishing accessories, and outdoor gear.
